Overview

SubAlert helps you manage subscription information you enter or scan. We aim to keep your data private and transparent. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Data We Collect

• Subscription details you add (name, price, billing cycle, reminders, notes).
• Screenshots you choose to scan for OCR, processed locally on your device.
• Purchase status for the remove-ads upgrade.
• Basic app usage data required for ads (if ads are enabled).

How We Use Data

• Calculate next charge dates and reminder schedules.
• Show totals and monthly equivalent costs.
• Sync data across your devices via iCloud when enabled.
• Deliver and measure ads when ads are enabled.

OCR & Screenshots

OCR uses Apple's on-device Vision framework. Screenshots are processed locally and are not uploaded to SubAlert servers.

Ads

SubAlert uses Google Mobile Ads to display ads when enabled. The ad provider may collect device identifiers and approximate location to deliver and measure ads. You can remove ads with a one-time in-app purchase.

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your subscription data is stored in your iCloud account and synced by Apple. We do not access your iCloud data outside of the app.

In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple. We do not collect or store payment information. Apple's privacy practices apply to billing data.

Data Retention

Data remains on your device and, if enabled, in your iCloud account until you delete it or remove the app.

Your Choices

• Disable ads by purchasing Remove Ads.
• Turn off iCloud sync in Settings.
• Delete subscriptions anytime from the app.

Children's Privacy

SubAlert is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
